New Immigrant Citizenship Zone of Ministry of the Interior

After new immigrants acquire their R.O.C. National ID Cards, they are granted R.O.C. citizenship and thereby can vote for their favorite candidates, weed out unsuitable elected officials, and participate in major public policy decisions. They can also express their support for candidates and political parties by contributing political donations.

In order to strengthen the new immigrants' awareness of citizenship, Ministry of the Interior has produced literature and a short version of Vietnamese and Indonesian translations of "Citizenship for New Immigrants", placing them in the Convenient Service-Download Zone-New Immigrant Citizenship Zone set up by Department of Civil Affairs of Ministry of the Interior.
