The Office has established 4 units, where penalty services are provided at the Taichung Motor Vehicles Office, Taichung City Motor Vehicles Station and Fengyuan Motor Vehicles Station.

• Administration Section: Motor vehicle owners/driver traffic violation bookings and reviews, case management, liability transfer, case transfer, case return, driver's license (number plate) suspension (revocation) management, traffic accident investigation and re-investigation-related services.
• Enforcement Section: Penalization, management and execution of car (motorcycle) and driver traffic violations.
• Appeals Section: Taking down of statements pertaining to car (motorcycle) and driver traffic violations as well as the administrative litigations and refunds thereof.
• Collection section: Adjudication, collection, referring to compulsory execution of car (motorcycle) and driver traffic violations as well as the management of certificates of the obligatory claims.

There are also staff units such as Civil Service Ethics Office, Personnel Office, Secretariat Office, Accounting Office and Information Management Office.
