To correspond with “International Volunteer Day on December 5th”, the Social Affairs Bureau of the city government held a volunteer service exchange squad press conference to spread“love everywhere and pursue love in Taichung by holding hands” on November 5th. Thirty-five indigenous students from Da Guan and Chung Keng Elementary Schools in Heping District with cycling apparel sponsored by Tien Hsin Industry and Sheng Yang Bicycle rodebicycles around the city to promote volunteer service activities and the volunteer spirit with love on the 5th and 7th. The Social Affairs Bureau also had publicity vehicles promoting in designated spots to encourage people to get involved in volunteer services.

　　According to the Social Affairs Bureau, 35 indigenous students from Heping District rodebicycles accompanied by 50 college students and business volunteers to promote the volunteer spirit running around Taichung City. They passedTung Hai University in Xitun District and Bestmotion Tourist Factory, an ecological tourism spotof Dongan Community in Daan District and then performedvolunteer service arranged at Song Bo Home of theYong Hsin Foundation. The children amused the elderly with designed performancesdrawing upon all useful opinions.

　　Furthermore, the publicity vehicles of the Social Affairs Bureau drove around Taichung City on the 8th. It played the beautiful melody of the Taichung volunteer service song “Love everywhere” and the promotional film along the tour, as well as performed splendid opera music for volunteer service promotion at Tong Fong Green Corridor, Taichung English and Art Museum and Calligraphy Greenway. A prize quiz was available on site, and those interested in volunteering could join the joint signature activity.

　　Chief Secretary of the city government Cao, Mei-Liang expressed that there are more than 60,000 volunteers in Taichung City. Their love has already been spread all over the city. The love must be passed on through generations, especially to the children in the remote Heping area. We hope that they cancarry on and give love by holding hands through this activity to pass on the love and promote the selfless spirit of volunteering.

　　The chairman of sponsor Sheng Yang Bicycle said that the children in attendance came from the remote Heping area. He hoped that children could feel people’s love and come out of their tribes to experience different environments. He also longed for their contribution and love to be given to society after growing up.
